From: Jebheie
Nejat
To: his excellence GEORGE W. BUSH
The
president of U.S.A.
We are writing to you with deep respect and the highest consideration.
It is a great honor for us to tell you how happy we are that you won to establish democracy in Iraq, a success which will be of much help in your fight against terrorism and in favor of the human rights enforcement worldwide, accompanied by the peoples wishing to breathe the fresh air of democracy.
We wish to point out that over three thousand families in Palestine, whose members joined the terrorist actions directed against Israel, mostly through criminal and fanatic bomb attacks near the Alghods mosque are backed up by the Iranian dictatorship which provides lodgings, monthly salaries and other benefits (health insurance, social welfare a.s.o.) to these members. Apart from that, the dictatorial regime in Iran will keep on supporting through its criminal policy any other terrorist actions carried out by other individuals or families than the ones already mentioned, a fact stated by the manager of the Boniad Shahid Organization in Iran, also declared by Khamenei, the spiritual leader.
For this reason we call on you to intervene and put an end to the sending of the refugees (political asylum seekers) back to Iran, because they are people fighting to establish democracy in Iran, so that pushing them back to the countries where they took a refuge not only endangers their lives, but also shows that these countries are a party to the dictatorial policy enforced by the Iranian regime.
Sending the refugees back to their native countries is a dangerous policy, also practiced by other countries: Turkey, Germany, France, Sweden (where a refugee killed himself) etc.
Over five millions Iranian people escaped from their country in search of freedom, while about two millions of them are refugees.
We are fully aware
that the status of the refugees implies high costs that the democratic
countries and the international human rights organizations have to bear, but
this is the price of democracy, a price that any country embracing democracy
has to pay.
Let us not
forget that many of the Iranian people who left their country managed to
integrate themselves into the societies that adopted them and even more, they
played a very important role in those societies, considering that they
contribute to the advance of those countries due to the positions held in
different areas (in education, industry, health care, politics, sports and other)
and to their wealth (estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars).
Certainly,
it would make much more sense, it would be more reasonable and more efficient
in terms of costs if the fabulous amounts spent on a regular basis on providing
support to the refugees were directed to tearing down the dictatorial regimes
and to establishing democracy with the participation of the representatives of
the democratic opposition living in these countries, the only ones who are
fully aware of the pains, but also of the combat strategy that needs to be
enforced in their countries to the benefit of their peoples, but also to the
peace around the world.
We wish to show you below the international impact
of the political regime in Iran (the Islamic Republic of Iran) since its coming
to power (in one thousand nine hundred seventy
nine), a regime that caused:
a) The war between Iran and
Iraq;
b)
The
warfare that consumes Israel, Palestine and Lebanon was enhanced by the support
provided by the Iranian regime to the Hezbolah and Hamas groups, but not only;
c)
The
attack on the U.S. Embassy in Tehran
resulting in hostages taken among the staff of the American embassy;
d)
Weaker
or even interrupted relations with the democratic countries;
e)
The
ideology embodied by this regime became a symbol for other countries or groups
and gave birth to religious fanaticism which was supplemented by internal and
international terrorism, all of them leading to international instability.
The ideas emerging in countries such as Yemen, Iraq,
Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Palestine, Afghanistan, Turkey,
Pakistan etc. resulted in new fanatical regimes or groups impacting adversely
on the national, regional and international security.
The support to the armed groups in Afghanistan, but
not only, has its roots in the establishment of the dictatorial regime in Iran;
f) The
terrorist attack on the Jewish Center in Argentine, as well as other assaults
against the interests and embassies of the democratic countries;
g) The
Irans negative involvement in creating a conflicting situation in the area of
the Indian Kashmir, so that there is a real danger for a war between India and
Pakistan to break out;
h) In
accordance with the statistical data provided by the World Health Organization in Geneva, a suicide occurs
every forty seconds, a murder or death penalty every
minute, a war casualty every one hundred seconds.
The Iranian dictatorship plays a very important in
the final statistics, on account of its crimes, terrorist attacks and involvement
in different conflicts (wars);
i) The recent visit (a few
month ago) by Nagi Sabri of Iraq to Iran for the purpose of purchasing
long-range missiles (SHAHAB 3), a fact showing that Iran is also supporting the
political regime in Iraq on the military level;
j) A last example Iran
accepted and even welcomed on its territory the members of the Al Kaida and
Taliban terrorist groups.
The name of the Iranian regime the Islamic
Republic is another proof of the human rights infringement, as both religion
and faith represent a direct connection between Man and his Creator, a link
that does not require a go-between, an intermediary (should it be a political
regime or a specific party) that interferes with their spiritual relation.
In fact, there are several worships (religions) in
every country, so that naming a country after a single religion is nothing else
but a violation of the rights enjoyed by the people who embraced other cults
(religions) in that country, the same as country names such as the Christian
Republic, the Jewish Republic or the Buddhist Republic cannot be accepted.
It is difficult for us to understand why the
democratic world (democratic countries and international institutions) chose to
keep quiet about the Iran case, namely its barbarian violation of the human
rights (such as: torture, death penalties, murders lapidated, hanging,
shooting, chopping of hands etc.).
Could the reason be the outstanding financial back
up provided by Iran to the budgets of several international organizations (for
instance, the U.N.O., the UNESCO, etc.)?!
Truly hoping that these remarks do not cause any
inconvenience, that, quite to the contrary, they can be viewed from the
democratic perspective which may get us to the day when democracy is reinstated
and human rights treasured in Iran and in other countries as well.
Sincerely yours, with gratitude and high
consideration,
JEBHEIE NEJAT (SALVATION FRONT)
